As I reflect a lot this week leading up to Thanksgiving I have so much gratitude for my feiends this year. After my surgery, I was surrounded by love and support. As I continue my chemo treatments every Wednesday, friends have offered to take me and I've actually enjoyed those days with the company:) These last 7 months since my diagnosis in May have a few days I would like to forget, but many more days I'm thankful for because of friendship. I don't have a big family and so I have really appreciated all of you more than you know.
Also I am feeling that is has been so nice to reconnect with old friends who I have not seen in a very long time. Making time for coffee makes me realize how we can't wait until something like this happens to us to make the time to connect with others who we may have lost touch with again. Yes, we all have busy lives as moms and wives we often put ourselves last after everything else is done. Let's face it, the jobs are constant and are never done so we have to make the time for ourselves!
As my wise grandmother, Elizabeth tells me "You have to take care of the machine that does the work first before you will have anything possible to give". Still living at 97 years young, she would know:) Happy Thanksgiving everyone and please know how much grattitude I have that you are all in my life!🌈
