It was a busy couple of weeks, and my priority has been to continue to recover and detox from my 4 rounds of chemo (A & C) treatments. As always I am still a busy Mom, with the usual sports events and music for the kids, as well as the usual exciting house work, cooking, laundry and all that comes with the package. I have noticed I enjoy things much more and savor time, living more in the present moment, but I still have to catch myself from time to time from getting stressed out because of not feeling like myself from the physical toll on the body. Hard to believe it has been 3 months since my major surgery already, and only 2 weeks since the last round of chemotherapy. Last Wednesday, I met with Dr. Isakoff, the oncologist, and let him know I need a break, and that I need to think about if I will go onto the next phase of his recommended therapy. I feel strongly this shotgun approach is not a one size fits all solution, so I have a lot to consider.

Way to go, Rachel! Keep on focusing on the JOY and Higher Guidance and your own INNER knowing via direct link to God. Trust in God and trust in THAT inner connection.

Thanks Angela. I am so glad I committed to join my church choir even now because singing brings such joy and makes me feel so uplifted. Maybe you can come to out Christmas cantata December 21st AM service or to one of our Christmas Eve candlelight story and musical presentation at 7pm or 11pm at Longmeadow Church:)
